Our crew just kicked up the heat at the newest Chuck’s Hot Chicken on Kingshighway with a spicy makeover! This recently opened location (formerly Courtesy Diner) at 3155 S. Kingshighway Blvd. in South City is now sporting a bolder, brighter look that matches their fire-hot flavors.
All surfaces quoted to be painted went through a thorough low-pressure detergent wash and hand scrub (if needed) using our special wash solution guaranteed to remove dirt and mildew stains. This step was crucial to remove dirt and mildew without causing any damage, ensuring a pristine base for the new paint.
Before painting, our professional painters ensured proper site protection and surface preparation. This comprehensive exterior preparation included every necessary service to guarantee a high-quality finish. Each area was carefully scraped and lightly sanded to create a smooth, clean canvas for fresh paint. Our painters also caulked any gaps to ensure a flawless, smooth finish. Recognizing the importance of protecting bare wood, they applied spot primer to prepare these areas for painting.
The exterior painting phase brought the vision to life with a fresh coat of paint. The light poles got a makeover with red bases and black poles, adding a bold touch to the exterior. Key areas such as handrails, support posts for the awning, balustrades, downspouts, cement blocks on the left side, cement walls on the rear side, and lighting under the main overhang were all painted, enhancing the overall look of the restaurant. The glazed blocks presented a challenge, receiving one coat of XIM Primer before the finish paint. Painting glazed blocks is tricky, our team took every precaution to achieve the best possible outcome. For a polished look and enhanced durability, the metal surfaces were given a coat of PPG Durathane 2-Part Epoxy in black.
What a fun project this was, and you better believe the painters left daily craving some Nashville hot chicken and cheese curds.
