Trainee/Apprentice
Trainee/Apprentice is the beginning point of your new career. Show your desire to learn the trade by using your classroom or on-the-job training to develop the essential skills needed to become a painter.
Painter 1
Time to put your skills and knowledge into action! And, at the same time, acquire new skills in the areas of safety and customer service in order to meet our quality standards.
Painter 2
As a Level 2 Painter, you will put together all your newly-developed skills, proving the ability to meet our quality and speed requirements.
Craftsman
If desired, this position can serve as a stepping stone leading to industry leadership. As a Craftsman, you must be able to perform all painting-related skills at a high level and successfully manage small projects.
Project Leader
While managing a small crew, you are able to succeed in the areas of quality, speed, and customer service, ensuring that our customers are satisfied with the end result.
Crew Leader

FAQs
What qualifications are required to work at Kennedy Painting?
We ask that all full-time and part-time employees have access to reliable transportation, so they can be at their job site each day on time. Each job opening will list additional requirements and preferred experiences.
Do I need painting experience?
Experienced painters don’t just appear; they put in the work to get there. If you apply for an Apprenticeship, it doesn’t matter if your only experience with interior and exterior painting projects is minor caulking or drywall repair—we work with you to build your knowledge and skillset. All we ask is that you come with a good attitude and a willingness to learn.
For more experienced positions, such as Painter 2 and Crew Leaders, we do request some level of experience as a professional painter.
Do you hire contract workers?
No. While we sometimes hire part-time employees, we do not work with painting subcontractors. This way, we can ensure that all our work is held to the highest standards.
Where will I work?
Our residential and commercial painters will need to work on-site. We accept jobs across the St. Louis Metropolitan Area, including Kirkwood, Chesterfield, Saint Peters, and Saint Charles, MO.
