Your kitchen is really the heartbeat of your home’s style. It sets the rhythm, whether you go for the warm, country kitchen look, or prefer cold stainless steel and icy-black counters.
Unfortunately, too many people think that updating your kitchen’s style involves big-ticket items, and having their kitchen gutted and useless for weeks on end. We don’t think it should be like that! As a case in point, take a look at this project we finished recently in O’Fallon. With a special focus on creative carpentry and cabinet painting techniques, we were able to make our client’s kitchen nearly unrecognizable.
Kitchen Painting and Carpentry – Fresh Style Arrives!
This client’s cabinets probably look very familiar to a lot of people. They were stained oak, complete with an excessively thick coating of urethane. We needed a way to get these looking lighter, brighter, and with the detail work that goes along with expensive custom cabinetry.
Our process included sanding, priming, and spraying. Additionally, our carpenter installed faux panels to the upper cabinets and three sides of the kitchen island; this added an incredible depth and achieved that custom look. As for color, we used two coats of Sherwin Williams’ Pro-Classics matched to Porter’s Horseradish 315-1.
The best part is that we were able to finish all of this in one week. We were happy to help, and thrilled by how well everything came out.
