Here at Kennedy Painting, we truly enjoy staying on the cutting edge, and doing all we can to educate, empower, and equip our team for success. In fact, that’s a big part of why we joined the PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America). The PDCA has worked tirelessly to elevate our industry, creating uniform standards that help serious painters provide a universal benchmark for excellence across the country.
Most recently, we were honored to be invited to help with an exciting new project: the Trade Best Practice Series.
Tools and Training for Serious Painters
Together with Benjamin Moore and TEACH Construction, the PDCA is launching a new series of training videos and classroom curriculum. The idea is that these fun, educational, high-quality videos can be used for everything from training new hires to inspiring students at trade schools, community colleges, and more.
It’s really an exciting program! We’re experiencing a huge resurgence of interest in the trades these days, especially as many students decide that the expense and debt incurred by traditional college may just not be for them. Our hope is to do all we can to help those interested in our industry to see what the possibilities are, and be equipped for success.
Kennedy Painting is involved in a number of these videos, including one entitled “Expertise” in which owner Sean Kennedy is interviewed directly. He discusses his own work history and experience, and what goes into being a successful painter.
