Exterior Painting in Central West End, St. Louis

exterior-painting-central-west-end-st-louis-1We’ve worked in the Central West End for over 20 years now, the sheer beauty and tranquility of the homes are absolutely stunning. For this particular project, we were asked to repaint everything on the home that was previously painted (shutters, railings, trim accents, etc).
Here’s How It Went:

Our pressure washing technicians worked their magic on the exterior surfaces, removing dirt and mildew deposits that inevitably grow over time. As a side note, it’s important to always be extremely careful when pressure washing and to take the condition and nature of the material being cleaned into consideration. Haphazardly spraying your home can cause leaks and even damage. Our technicians are experts at what they do, utilizing a low-pressure, pressure washer to prevent damage to surfaces and using commercial-grade, eco-friendly detergents for the best results possible.

Back on the job site, our painters began to prepare the woodwork on the home by thoroughly scraping all failing paint, sanding surfaces as needed, spot priming raw wood and caulking gaps to prevent water intrusion. All storm windows were removed, failing glazing compound on windows was removed and re-glazed to ensure all glass is properly sealed.

The homeowner chose a classic white and black combination to allow for a sharp contrast between the woodwork and brick. The choice of red for the front door adds a timeless accent for instant curb appeal. Overall, the color scheme fits perfectly in the historic surroundings of the Central West End. It was our pleasure to be a part of reviving the colors and protecting the woodwork on this gorgeous home.
