When Margo reached out to Kennedy Painting, she was looking to address hail damage from a storm in May and repaint her white brick exterior for a fresh, cohesive look. Her 1.5-story painted brick home had areas needing attention, and she also asked whether we sealed patios and sidewalks. After finding us through a web search, she scheduled a free estimate. Rob, one of our estimators, met with her to review the scope of work, which included repainting all brick surfaces and sealing the rear concrete patio along with the front and side sidewalks.
Our team began with a low-pressure detergent wash to remove dirt and mildew from the brick and concrete surfaces. Once dried, we scraped, lightly sanded, and caulked all necessary areas. Any bare wood was spot primed for durability. The brick was then coated with two full coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration in a custom white color to match the existing finish.
Concrete areas were cleaned and prepped before applying two coats of H&C Concrete Sealer. Margo initially asked about the option of staining the concrete before sealing, but ultimately chose to keep the natural look with a clear protective finish.
This project brought the entire exterior back to life with a clean, refreshed look and added protection from the elements. The sealed patio and sidewalks enhanced the functionality and appearance of the outdoor space, while the brick repaint ensured the home’s classic charm stayed intact. You can see the transformation in the before-and-after photos included.
