We worked on this project a few days before Christmas! It took a full day to prepare and paint the ceiling surfaces. We painted the entire ceiling black for a finished contemporary-industrial look in this basement. We often use this style in restaurants and commercial spaces.
Project Process Description
To start, we masked and sprayed all ceiling framework, ductwork, pipes and wires. We sprayed Sherwin Williams Waterborne Acrylic Dryfall in Flat Black. Dryfall paint is named “dryfall” because the product overspray dries to a powder and can be swept or vacuumed after a 9-foot drop. It’s used in industrial spaces and for high ceilings to prevent paint splatters and drips.
