This project on Lasalle Street involved a full exterior repaint, using high-quality Sherwin-Williams Duration paint to ensure a long-lasting and durable finish. We pressure-washed the entire exterior with a low-pressure detergent wash to remove dirt and mildew without causing damage to the surfaces. To ensure the longevity of our work, we followed a thorough preparation process, essential for any high-quality exterior painting job. All surfaces were scraped, lightly sanded, and caulked where needed to create a smooth foundation for painting. Bare wood and stucco were spot-primed to prevent peeling and ensure an even finish.
One of the standout features of this home is its intricate exterior detailing. Our team paid close attention to the dentil cornice, corbels, and delicate millwork, highlighting these elements with accents in Sherwin-Williams Rock Garden 6195 and Privilege Green 6193. All painted surfaces received 2 coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration, chosen for its superior durability and fade resistance. The final color layout was designed to match the home’s existing aesthetic, blending seamlessly with the surrounding architecture in LaFayette Square.
